    Owner and Chief Veterinarian

    Dr. Fitzpatrick earned her undergraduate studies at Cornell University, majoring in Animal Science, and was on the NCAA Division One ski team. She continued her advanced education at Colorado State University, graduating in 1991 from the College of Veterinary Medicine.

  • Madeline Wheeler DVM

    Dr. Madeline Wheeler, originally from Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 2019. Her special interests include small animal surgery and anesthesia and small ruminant and camelid medicine. She enjoys reading, hiking, cooking, playing violin, and spending time with friends and family, and she is looking forward to adopting a dog in the near future! She is very excited to start her career at Mountain Animal Hospital & Mobile Veterinarian, and is looking forward to the unique privilege of helping the community in the mountains of Colorado by providing veterinary care and support for their pets.

    Dr. Michelle Branton is originally from Atlanta Georgia and earned her bachelor’s degree in biology at the University of Georgia.  She then entered the University of Georgia college of veterinary medicine where she graduated with honors.

    Steven Gentry

    Dr. Gentry is boarded by the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners and specializes in soft tissue and orthopedic surgery.

    His top-notch orthopedic care and speciality surgeries are performed at our own Mountain Animal Hospital  in Eagle, Colorado. 

    Dr. Gentry is available by appointment and also will perform pre-operative consultations.

    Elli is a recent graduate from the University of Denver. She aspires to return to school to study  Veterinary studies. When she’s not cuddling puppies in the office, she enjoys spending her time reading, powerlifting, skiing, and going on adventures with her fiancé and their dog, Grizz.

    Veterinary Receptionist

    Danielle moved to Colorado five years ago after earning her degree in Marine Biology in Santa Barbara. She has always been passionate about animals, and is quite excited that she gets to work with pets all day! She has two loving cats at home, and enjoys spending her free time hiking with her boyfriend, crocheting, and painting with watercolor.

    Kayla Ford is a life long local of Eagle County with 12 years’ experience in the animal care field working as a Veterinary technician, as well as fostering and helping other animal welfare organizations. Kayla has a passion for the outdoors and spends as much time as possible with her two daughters, and husband in the back country of the Rocky Mountains. Kayla’s love for animals does not stop at the clinic doors as she has 7 dogs, 2 cats, and many other pets!

    Jackson is a local boy from Gypsum who aspires to attend veterinary school. Jackson enjoys hiking, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family, including his furry friends including his dog and three horses.

  • Peyton Mcpeak
    Veterinary Technician

    Peyton Recently moved to Colorado from Texas after receiving  a wildlife biology degree from Texas Tech University. While receiving her undergraduate degree she assisted in alligator ecology research and assisted in tracking wildlife populations in West Texas. In her free time she loves to scuba dive and enjoys being outdoors.

  • Sharon Carroll
    Veterinary Technician

    Sharon was born and raised in San Diego and has been a resident of Eagle County for 6 years. She is a lifelong animal lover with 2 dogs and a cat of her own, and spends as much time with them outdoors as possible. Her experience ranges from managing ski shops to pet boarding facilities and she is excited to be helping the pets of Eagle County at Mountain Animal Hospital Center.

  • Ashea Figuerdo
    Veterinary Technician

    Ashlea is a Texas Tech University graduate who earned her BS in Biology while conducting research on endangered fish for Texas Fish & Wildlife. Her pet family includes a dog, cat, and fish tanks. In her spare time, she loves to hike with her husband and her dog Frank.
